My rant is about what it says. I was in Wal-Mart picking up some T.P. and dryer sheets. I went to the isle that says speedy checkout 10 items or less. People in the speedy checkout are usually in a hurry and only have few things. Speedy checkout wasn't made for some idiot that thinks they should stand there for a few minutes talking to the clerk. 10 items or less doesn't mean 3 cans of beans is one item and 8 packages of kool aid is one item and the other 15 to 20 things. 3 cans of beans is 3 items. 8 packages of kool aid is 8 items. Just because you have a few items of the same thing doesn't mean that is one item.
Now back to the speedy part that you slow down by standing around talking to the clerk and after she rings up your 30 items in the 10 items or less isle you shouldn't be paying part of the bill with a credit card then fumbling around in you money for the rest of the bill. Pay the whole bill at once. If you can't do this do go through speedy checkout isle. Stop slowing the speedy isle down.
I finally got up to the clerk and mention that some people can't read. 10 items or less not 30 items or less. My reply from her was well she works here. I was thinking WHAT! Just because she works there she can just stand around and talk and hold up the speedy checkout isle?
I agree about the whole speedy checkout thing. I also agree that self-checkouts are wonderful. i once forgot something and it was one item. I would have had to wait forever in line to check out again, but i looked and the self-checkout was wide open. That's the fastest i've ever checked out at wal-mart.
WHat i hate is, going to a store like what we have around here a Aldies store and there is like 5 cash registers and 5 lanes but only one lane open and a line of folks a mile freaking long, HELLO Mc FLY, OPEN ONE OR TWO of the Other Lanes to keep the flow a flowing. It isn't rocket science its just FREAKING COMMON SENSE people!
